Four Artists Will Create Pieces Live at The Hickman’s Art of Caring

-

Art of Caring is returning to its home at The Hickman, 400 N. Walnut St., West Chester, on Saturday, March 21, from 6-9 p.m. The Roaring 20’s themed fundraising event will feature artists, Gregory Blue, Angie Gifford, Pam Horstmann, and Tom Uleau creating pieces live. Their work, along with other fine pieces of art and items, will be included in the auctions.

“We are very excited to bring Art of Caring back to The Hickman and to work with such distinguished artists,” said Charles “Ebbie” Alfree III, Director of Advancement. “As we celebrate the beginning of the new decade, we thought it would be fun to look back at the 1920’s – the age of flappers, the Charleston, and all that jazz! Although it’s not mandatory, but it would be the bee’s knees if guests dressed in period clothing.”

In addition to the artists creating pieces and the auctions, the night will also include live music by the Jazz Kats and scrumptious fare by John Serock Catering. Tickets for the event are $100 and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Funds raised through Art of Caring: The Roaring 20’s benefit The Hickman’s Resident Assistance Fund. The Fund provides assistance to residents who are no longer able to afford their room, board, and/or personal care needs. The Fund helps residents remain living in their home at The Hickman and enjoying their golden years with their friends.
