150 RESIDENTS EVACUATED
Bomb threat made at assisted living facility; nothing found
WEST GOSHEN » Police evacuated 150 residents from the Arbour Square assisted living facility on Ward Avenue Sunday morning after receiving a bomb threat.
“Arbour Square received a call threatening there was a bomb in the building, our officers responded up there. As a result of speaking with them a decision was made to evacuate the building and check it for an actual bomb,” said Lt. Mike Carroll of the West Gosen police. “Assuming nothing is found we will then work to get the residents back in the building.”
Police were called at 7:41 a.m., Carroll said no device had been found as of 2:45 p.m.
Police were assisted by numerous emergency responders, including Goshen fire
Company West Chester Fire Department, Good Fellowship ambulance, police from Willistown and Westtown, East Goshen police.
The Veterans Administration provided a bus to assist the evacuation.

Family members were being taken to Ss. Peter and Paul Church at 1325 Boot Road, West Chester.
The 150,000 square-foot development at 1201 Ward Ave., opened in December of 2017 and overlooks the Brandywine Airport in West Chester and offers studio, one- and twobedroom apartments.
The neighboring 55+ Arbours at West Goshen community was also reported evacuated.
The incident was reported closed Sunday evening. Residents have been returned to their homes. There were no injuries to residents or first responders.
The incident is still under investigation by the West Goshen Township Police Department and the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.
NORRISTOWN » In light of events that are rapidly evolving related to COVID-19, Manu-Fest and More 2020 will not go ahead as planned on Tuesday, March 10, according to the Montgomery County Commerce Department.
