NORRISTOWN » A former Plymouth Township man will be under court supervision for nearly two years in connection with a domestic-related incident with a woman at his onetime residence.

Marcus Salos, 29, formerly of the 300 block of School Lane, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 184 days already served to 23 months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of recklessly endangering another person in connection with a Jan. 1 domestic-related incident at the School Lane residence.

Judge William R. Carpenter, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, also ordered Salos to complete a domestic violence counseling program as a condition of the sentence.

Salos was ordered to have no contact with the victim or her family and to “stay away” from the School Lane residence.

The judge further stated that Salos is prohibited from owning any firearms during the period of court supervision.

Salos also is responsible for $382 in restitution in connection with the incident.

The investigation began about 6:24 a.m. on New Year’s Day when Plymouth Township police responded to the School Lane residence for a report of a male physically abusing a female in the residence, according to the criminal complaint filed by Plymouth Township Police Officer Jennifer

Wittenberger.

Police said Salos fled from the residence via a basement as police arrived, according to court papers.

A woman told police she and Salos had been arguing in the bedroom and that he punched her multiple times in the head and face. Police said they observed a “red mark” on the victim’s right cheek. The assault was witnessed by the victim’s daughter, police said.

Salos was later discovered hiding under a vehicle on Martin Street and was taken into police custody at that time.

A simple assault charge was amended to recklessly endangering another person, the charge to which Salos pleaded guilty. Other charges of public drunkenness and harassment were dismissed against Salos.
