Janet Alex

Janet (Moulder) Alex was born to the late Mildred (Bush) Moulder and Raymond Moulder in Pottstown on September 18, 1942. She passed away gently in her sleep at home on the morning of her mother’s birthday, July 20, 2020, after a two-year battle with cancer; she was 77 years young.

Janet was a 1960 graduate of Pottstown High School and married the love of her life, Michael Alex Sr. on October 9, 1965. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker who worked for Sherwood Schoch Associates for 18 years as the business director and was the office manager/partner for the family business, Mike Alex Maintenance, for 40 years. Janet, along with her husband Mike, were active in the start-up of the New Hanover Fire Company and Janet served as the first President of the New Hanover Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by daughter, Vicki Baldwin, wife of Leroy Baldwin, daughter, Cynthia Alex, son, Michael Alex Jr., husband of Lisa Alex, stepdaughter, Michelle Reimert, and a brother, Terry Moulder, husband of Mary Lou Moulder.

She is also survived by five grandchildren; Alec Palladino, Michael Palladino, Zoe Schaediger, Zachary Alex, and Lexy Alex.

Janet was a bright light to everyone she met and will be missed by so many. She was happiest spending time with her family, worked hard each day, never procrastinated, and every evening, while enjoying a vlad and iced tea, composed the next days “To Do” list.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, services will be private. The family plans to hold a celebration of Janet’s life at a later date.
