UPPER PERKIOMEN 3, BOYERTOWN 2» A second-half rally enabled the Indians to overtake the early scoring Bears and win Thursday’s PAC game.
Boyertown jumped out to an early 2-0 lead off goals by Dimitrije Randjelovic and Beckett Wenger, but UP showed its resilience with a strong comeback led by senior captain Cole Kendra (one assist). Jack Cupitt got the equalizer on a penalty kick after Jimmy Friedman started the Indians’ second-half scoring.
Kyle Shemeley assisted on Kendra’s goal, and Matt Kerr was credited with assists on both Boyertown goals.
POTTSGROVE 2, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 1 » After Shane Gleason got them started by scoring in the 41st minute, Jeremy Thompson produced the clincher for the Falcons in Thursday’s PAC win over the Vikings.
Alex Chamorro scored in the 55th minute, assisted by Owen Slack, to account for PV’s point. Pottsgrove goalkeeper Luke Kaiser (six saves) was also credited with an assist on a punt, and Michael Renner gave PV four-save goaltending.
SPRING-FORD4, OWEN J. ROBERTS1 » The Rams scored two goals in each half to down the Wildcats in PAC play.
Spring-Ford goals came from Tommy Bodenschatz, Colton Pollock, Ben Goldberg, Connor Lynch with Justin Russell, Matt Dunne, Bodenschatz and Akshay Patel credited with assists. James Needles made nine saves. DANIEL BOONE 1, CONRAD WEISER 0 » Justin Fedrow’s first-half penalty kick gave the Blazers all the scoring they needed to edge the Scouts in Thursday’s Berks League action.
Fedrow’s tally held up with Boone goalkeeper Zach Fick turning a three save shutout.

UPPER PERKIOMEN 4, BOYERTOWN 3 » Megan Cairns fueled a second-half rally that enabled the Indians to overtake the Bears for a banner win in Thursday’s PAC game.
Cairns scored twice in a 31-minute span after Jada Roderick got UP on the scoreboard at the 29thminute, and Kyra Lesko added a solo tally as the Tribe scored four answered to come back from 2-0 down. Sam Goffice and Madison Springman gave Boyertown a first-half lead while Riley Ruyak completed its scoring at the 75thminute.
Field hockey
PERK IO MEN VALLEY 11, POT TS GROVE 0» Jordyne Stong collected a hat trick, and two other Vikings contributed two-goal days toward their PAC romp over the Falcons Thursday.
Julia Downing and Sophia Giangreco had PV’s other multiple-goal outings, with the remainder of its points coming from Lauren Keyte, Cristina Dougherty, Avery Dolas and Marie Lindberger completing the offense. Downing got credit for three assists, and Downing and Dolas two apiece, while Ashley Derrick and Elizabeth Gaffney (one save) combined for the clean sheet. Makenzie Johnson had a seven-save day in goal for Pottsgrove.

OWEN J. ROBERTS185, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 201 » Two Wildcats were part of threeway tie for low score honors Thursday during their PAC match with the Vikings at Raven’s Claw Golf Course.
Stefania Fedun and Brannan Grabowicz both shot one-under-par 35s to lead OJR, with Ryan Horenci doing the same for Perk Valley. Roberts had the next three cardings from Victor Mominey (37), Jared Berish and Nick Parr (both 39s).

ME TH ACT ON 3, SPRING-FORD 0» The Warriors swept the Rams in three hard-fought sets of Thursday’s PAC match. Set scores were 2927, 25-20 and 26-24.
Methacton’s statistical stars were Meghan Haftl (30 assists, 5 aces, 13 digs), Ali Hazlett (11 kills, 4 blocks); Melinda Eglinton (9 kills, 2 aces, 13 digs), Mandy Baldwin (3 kills, 16 digs, 3 aces), Andria Santangelo (7 kills, 4 digs), Emma Ginther (12 digs, 2 aces 1 assist) and Madi Roth (5 kills, 2 assists, 4 digs. Spring-Fordwas led in statistics by Sara Fritzinger (11 kills), Clarke Gilmore (7 kills), Maddie Lebiedzinski (19 digs), Ally Plitnick (16 assists, 3 kills), Anoushka Patel (13 assists, 8 digs) and Camryn Elsner (11 digs).
TWIN VALLEY 3, DANIEL BOONE 1 » A third-set win enabled the Blazers to extend Thursday’s Berks League match with the Raiders to four sets. Scores were 25-14, 25-16, 16-25 and 25-14.
Boone got 10 kills from Aubrey Hunt, and seven kills and two blocks from Stephanie George.
Girls tennis
OWEN J. ROBERTS 7, POTTSGROVE 0 » The Wildcats won three duels in 6-0, 6-0 straight sets during Thursday’s PAC sweep of the Falcons.
Allison Root’s run at first singles headed Owen J, which dropped just seven games throughout the lineup. Pottsgrove’s best individual showing came at second singles, where Kyla Hutchinson won five games.
Boys golf
BCIAA CHAMPIONSHIPS » Daniel Boone senior Colton Yenser finished second at Wednesday’s BCIAA boys inidvidual championships.
Yenser finished with a five-over 110 at the 27hole event at Blackwood Golf Course. Brandywine Heights senior Elijah Ruppert edge him by one-stroke with 109 for the tournament championship. Yenser will next compete at the District 3 tournament Oct. 9-10 at Briarwood Golf Club in York.
BOYERTOWN 203, PHOENIXVILLE 209 » John Engle earned low-man honors for the Bears, heading their PAC victory over the Phantoms Thursday at Shannondell Golf Course.
Engle carded an evenpar 35 to finish two strokes ahead of Phoenixville’s Bryan Maguire. The Bears’ Mike Fenton added a 39 to finish with the match’s other sub-40 round.
