Pottsgrove to honor life of Coach Van Horn
Administrator, coach died unexpectedly thisweek at age 51
Pottsgrove School District will be hosting a Celebration of Life program, in honor of administrator and coach Todd Van Horn, 11 a.m. today in the high school stadium.
There will be a visitation period (conducted with all safety protocols in place), followed by theCelebration at 1 p,m. Guests are invited to enter the stadium at either the main (off School Lane) or lower entrances (next to the Turf field) anytime after 11. Guests are asked to bring a card that includes each person’s name and contact information, per Montgomery County Contact Tracing guidelines.
There will be tables at each location to drop those cards before the track area. Guests will be asked to walk the perimeter of the outer fence from the visitor side to the home side, wherewife Stephanie, sons Tyler and Zach and Todd’s parents will be located on the track surface.
Guests are directed to wearmasks the entire time they are in the stadium area, and practice appropriate social distancing.
The family was honored prior to Friday evening’s football game at Phoenixville with a moment of silence, as Todd was recently inducted into the district’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
The family, as true Pottsgrovians, ask this be an informal event, encouraging allwho attend to wear jerseys, sweatshirts or shirts of their favorite teams, schools or communities.
