PHOENIXVIL­LE 6, UPPER MERION 0 >> Drew Kingsbury tossed a two-hit shutout for the Phantoms Tuesday in the Phantoms’ Pioneer Athletic Conference Frontier victory over the Vikings.

Kingsbury struck out 10 batters compared to just one walk. Antonio Valenteen had a two-hit day, and Mike Memmo and Jason Bilotti both tallied a hit and scored a pair of runs.

Upper Merion starter Brad Zielinski gave up just two earned runs in 5.1 innings. He and Oscar Brenes had the team’s only hits. POPE JOHN PAUL II 17, POTTSTOWN 3>> Nik Rubendall’s big day at the dish aided PJP in its PAC Frontier win over Pottstown on Tuesday.

Rubendall went 2-for-3 with two doubles and five RBI. RJ Rippert and Justin Carr both tripled, while Mike Greco drove in three runs and scored three times himself.

DJ Clarke picked up his first varsity win, allowing one earned and striking out four in three innings.

Dylan Murphy (run, RBI) and Caleb Quiles had Pottstown’s only hits, going 1-for-1 with a walk apiece.

Softball

UPPER PERKIOMEN 11, POTTSGROVE

8 >> Scoring five times in their first at-bat, the Indians were able to keep the Falcons at bay and win Tuesday’s PAC Frontier Division game.

Sierra Fretz, Taylor Croak, Lynnsi Joyce and Lily Dibble all went 3-for-4 to account for a large chunk of UP’s 15-hit offense, with Fretz (home run) and Croak each driving in three runs and Dibble two. Dibble came away with the pitching win after one frame of one-hit relief from Croak.

Pottsgrove got a five-RBI outing from Mikayla Eckman (2-for3, homer) and 3-for-3 showing from Brianna Herbert. Eckman took the loss on the mound.

Girls lacrosse

BOYERTOWN 14, POTTSGROVE 13 >> Allie Schell figured in on five of the Bears’ goals Tuesday, helping them hold off the Falcons in their PAC divisional crossover contest.

Schell scored four times and assisted on another tally, one of seven Boyertown players to get in the scoring act. Alina Friz added a hat trick while Delaney Fox and Ali Pioli each scored twice, the remaining points coming from Emma Biedler, Jordan Woodring and Jasmine Fink.

Pottsgrove’s offense was headed by Sydney Tornetta (seven goals), Sydney Wasdick (five) and Katie Bean. METHACTON 17, PHOENIXVIL­LE 8 >> The Warriors started the game

by scoring four goals in two minutes and never looked back as they took down the Phantoms on Tuesday in a PAC crossover game.

Megan Sanelli (assist), Grace Shields and Jayme Weber tallied hat tricks for Methacton with Delaney Smith (assist) and Mackenzie Coupe adding two-goal games. Mackenzie Clark saved 13 shots in goal.

Phoenixvil­le’s Jamie Michaud led all scorers with four goals. Gianna Thaxton added a pair of scores, Nailah Green picked up two assists and Andrea Hook and Alana Lathan chipped in goals for the Phantoms. Maddy Schramm made nine saves.

UPPER MERION 15, NORRISTOWN 3 >> The Vikings had the ultimate balanced offense Tuesday, 18 different players factoring in on its PAC divisional crossover romp over the Eagles.

Of the 15 players who scored goals for UM, Olivia Smith and Sarah Adams also had pairs of assists. Bella DiSanto helped out on four Viking goals as the visitors bolted to a 9-0 lead in the first half. SPRING-FORD 20, POTTSTOWN 1 >> Sixteen different Rams scored in Tuesday’s PAC crossover win over the Trojans.

Emma Sowers (assist), Mac Maloney (assist), Maddie Pierce (two assists) and Eva Engro all scored twice for Spring-Ford. Lexi Sowers scored a goal and assisted on three others. DANIEL BOONE 10, CONRAD WEISER 9 >> Mia Bishop scored three goals to lead the Blazers (2-2, 3-5) past the Scouts (0-4, 1-7) in Tuesday’s

Berks League action.

Keri Graff, Sophia Keim and Amanda Spotts each added pairs of goals while Taylor Yerger completed the scoring. Ashley Finkbiner contribute­d 15-save goaltendin­g.

Boys lacrosse

BOYERTOWN 15, UPPER MERION 10 >> Lane Yegey (two assists), Aidan McFalls and Luke Heimbach tallied hat tricks for the Bears in Tuesday’s PAC win over the Vikings.

Gage Parker, Jonathan Mayan (assist) and Adam Gallagher added a pair of goals each for the Bears. Wyatt Yerger and Ryder Gehris rounded out Boyertown’s scoring. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 13, OWEN J. ROBERTS 4 >> The Vikings rode a balanced attack to Tuesday’s PAC win over the Wildcats.

Sam Nice and Matt Farrington led the way with two goals and an assist each. Dane Hagen also scored twice. Defensive midfielder Jake Beaudoin and defenseman Justin Coates got into the scoring action with a goal apiece. PV goalie Jacob Klosinski made seven saves.

Josh Devine factored in on three of OJR’s scores, tallying two goals and an assist. Jared Devine had 13 saves.

METHACTON 17, POPE JOHN PAUL II 1 >> Gunnar Seaman and Justin Sanelli both figured in on six goals during the Warriors’ PAC win over the Golden Panthers.

Seaman netted four goals and assisted on two others and Sanelli tallied a hat trick with three assists. Brendan Sanelli added anothere three goals and an assist and Carlo Defillip (assist) and Jimmy Maro both scored twice.

Mike Merola added a goal and two assists and Matt Cole and Will Little both scored. Brody Borkowski was 14-of-18 from the faceoff X and Owen Avelar made four saves.

Luke Sykes tallied PJP’s lone score. PHOENIXVIL­LE 5, POTTSGROVE 4 >> The Falcons couldn’t overcome a threegoal deficit in Tuesday’s PAC loss to the Phantoms.

Colin Bradley tallied a hat trick and Rylee Howard scored a goal while going 8-for-12 on faceoffs in the loss.

Boys track & field

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 107, NORRISTOWN 26 >> Jahiem Vinson and Ronde Washington won pairs of events Tuesday, leading the Vikings to victory over the Eagles in their PAC Liberty Division meet.

Vinson swept the hurdles, taking the 300 intermedia­tes in 49.61 and the 110 highs in 19.28. Washington helped PV sweep the throws, topping the discus (103-8) and the shot put (45-3).

PV’s Dominic Brzozowski set the school record in the boys’ 200 (22.09).

UPPER PERKIOMEN 118, POTTSTOWN 32 >> Logan Simmon’s dominance in the sprints helped the Indians outrun the Trojans in Tuesday’s PAC Frontier Division meet while Hunter Flack set a school pole vault record with his 15-6 clearance.

Simmon headed the 100 in 11.87 and the 200 in 23.47. Darius Smallwood was a two-event winner for Pottstown, taking the 300 intermedia­te hurdles in 40.64 and the 800 in 1:53.69.

PHOENIXVIL­LE 81, POPE JOHN PAUL II 69 >> A jump sweep by

Kris Grinstead aided Phoenixvil­le’s PAC Frontier win. Leaps of 6-2 in the high jump, 17-8 in the long and 37-2 in the triple gave Grinstead the triple win.

Josh Douris-Little was a two-race winner in the sprints for PJP. Douris-Little won the 100 (11.53) and 200 (24.0) for PJP.

Girls track & field

DANIEL BOONE 96, READING HIGH 43 >> Emma Kay and Ashley Benoit each won pairs of races to lead the Blazers in Tuesday’s Berks League meet.

Kay swept the sprints, clocking a 13.31 in the 100 and 27.93 in the 200. Benoit added firsts in the 800 (2:41.94) and 1,600 (5:53); she and Kay also ran legs on Boone’s winning 4x100 relay (55.48) and 4x800 (12:20.90).

UPPER PERKIOMEN 125, POTTSTOWN 25 >> Audrey Nagata was a two-event winner for the Indians during Tuesday’s PAC Frontier Division meet with the Trojans.

Nagata was first in the 100 (14.74) and the triple jump (28-5) for UP. Zoe Earle had two of Pottstown’s three firsts, winning the 200 (28.77) and high junp (5-2).

Boys volleyball

WILSON 3, DANIEL BOONE 1 >> The Bulldogs made a strong stretch run Tuesday to break away from the Blazers and win their Berks League match. Set scores were 25-12, 18-25, 25-15 and 25-10.

For Boone (1-3, 6-4), Jack Hummel had five kills, five digs and two aces and Logan Emory had six kills and two blocks.
