Chester County Art Association camps inspire young artists
Founded in 1931, the Chester County Art Association (CCAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring and connecting the people of Chester County to and through the arts.
After a successful return to onsite programming during the summer of 2021, CCAA is excited to welcome back students ages 4-17 and instructors for our annual summer arts education camp. Our camps inspire young artists and help develop the artistic talents of the next generation in our community.
CCAA is thrilled to be able to expand our camps this summer, offering a wide range of programming to engage the community in a fun and creative summer.
Taking place over the course of 11-weeks, from June 13 through the week of Aug. 22, we will be offering 81 camp options for the children and young adults in the community, including both indoor and outdoor focused sessions.
Instruction will include fundamental classes, such as Acrylic Painting, Hand Building with Clay for Upper Elementary Age Students, Photography, Drawing All Levels and more, as well as more specialized classes such as Weaving, Sculpture: Learn to Create a Sleeping Puppy, Pie & Ice Cream Cones ala Wayne Thiebaud and Science Meets Art, which has a focus on combining STEM and art. All camps will be running on a half-day schedule, allowing students to fill their day with more than one creative interest.
We plan on following the West Chester School District in regard to COVID-19 safely precautions. Right now, masks are optional, but sanitation and cleaning between camps will be of the utmost importance, as the safety of our staff and campers is a priority. This is subject to change as guidelines are updated.
