Robert R. Windolph, 81, of Phoenixvil­le, PA passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Lankenau Hospital.

Born on June 10, 1942, in Phoenixvil­le, PA he was the son of the late J. Robert and Edna (Rennard) Windolph.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Franklin and Marshall College and in 1969 he received Villanova University’s first Ph.D. in Chemistry.

He was Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Moravian College in Bethlehem from 1969 - 1975. He then continued at Moravian College as Assistant Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students, and lastly Dean of Student Life. He received the James J. Heller Award as Administra­tor of the Year in 2007. He retired in July 2008 after 39 years at Moravian.

He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Chester Springs, Delaware Valley Student Affairs Conference Committee, Monocacy Creek Watershed Associatio­n, Burnside Plantation, Inc., Bethlehem Musikfest Associatio­n, Historic Bethlehem Partnershi­p, and Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

Robert enjoyed gardening, collecting books, music and theater, and cooking.

Robert is survived by his sister, Margery J. Windolph, and cousins, John (Gail) Carmichael, Louise (the late George) Hughes, Donald (Ruthann) Hughes, George (Kathy) Detwiler, William (the late Donna) Detwiler, and Pat ( the late Len) Jones. Services will be private.
