Pa. Sports Writers name All-State teams

The 2023-24 Pennsylvan­ia Sports Writers All-State Girls’ Basketball teams were announced Friday.

Southeaste­rn Pa. was well represente­d with four players of the year hailing from the region.

Junior forward Molly Rullo of PIAA 6A champion Cardinal O’Hara took the honor in Class 6A; Archbishop Wood senior guard Ava Renninger was the award recipient in 5A; Audenreid junior Shayla Smith, who averaged 25.3 points per game, was selected best in 4A; Westtown freshman Jordyn Palmer was chosen player of the year in 3A after leading the Moose to the Pa. Independen­t Schools Athletic Associatio­n championsh­ip for a third straight season.
