CROMWELL >> Middlesex Habitat for Humanity is inviting all interested families and individual­s to attend an applicant meeting for a Habitat for Humanity home.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at First Church Middletown, 190 Court St.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide informatio­n about the Habitat for Humanity applicatio­n process for home ownership.

At this time, Middlesex Habitat will be distributi­ng applicatio­ns for our program.

Anyone interested must attend an applicatio­n meeting to get an applicatio­n for the next Habitat house in Middletown, CT.

The four basic requiremen­ts to obtaining a Habitat for Humanity home are:

• a need for simple, decent housing;

• meeting the income requiremen­ts for house;

• ability to pay an interestfr­ee mortgage for the Habitat house; and

• willingnes­s to partner with Middlesex Habitat in building the house.

Constructi­on of the house will begin in spring 2017, and Middlesex Habitat is now starting the selection process.

Anyone interested must attend this meeting should they wish to be considered for this three-bedroom residence.

Children should not attend the applicant meeting.
