BUSHNELL FARM: Bushnell Farm, 1445 Boston Post Rd, Old Saybrook, will host “Rites of Spring & Sea Farming,” May 27, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sheep shearing at noon, flax processing and weaving, rope and net making, blacksmith demonstrat­ions, talks on salt hay, fish and seaweed as fertilizer; a wigwam with Indian fishing equipment and cooking fish on the hearth, and demonstrat­ions all day. Admisson is free, parking available. CLAM CHOWDER SALE: The Haddam Volunteer Fire Auxiliary will hold their annual clam chowder sale on Monday, May 29, across from the town green immediatel­y following the Memorial Day parade. A cup of chowder is $3; a quart will be sold for $8. Quarts should be ordered in advance by calling 860-345-8245 and they must be picked up by 11 a.m. in the kitchen.

SPRING CONCERT: The East Hampton High School Music Department will host a Spring Concert on June 1 at 7 p.m. in the East Hampton High School auditorium, 15 North Maple Street, featuring performanc­es by the high school concert and jazz bands vocal groups and the Center School chorus.
