Bridgewate­r Country Fair runs from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18; 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug.19; and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, Bridgewate­r Fairground­s, 100 Main St. South. Colebrook Fair takes place 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, on the Colebrook Green, intersecti­ons of Route 183 and Route 182A. Since 1944 with crafters, vendors, food concession­s, bake sale, raffles, flea market. Children’s activities including pie eating contests, pet show, frog jumping, face painting, balloons and games. THOMASTON ‘GREASE’ AT THOMASTON OPERA HOUSE

Thomaston Opera House, 158 Main St, Thomaston, Thomaston Opera House is home to the nonprofit Landmark Community Theatre, which manages the opera house and is charged with continuing the high level of theatrical production­s that it has become known for throughout the region over recent years.
