Hamden Hall wins Fairchester title

Nick Bailey completed 12-of-15 passes for 360 yards including five touchdown passes to lead the Hamden Hall football team to a 49-30 win over Kingswood Oxford on Saturday in Hamden.

Hamden Hall won its 17th consecutive game, improved to 7-0 and captured the Fairchester League championship with the victory.

David Spitz and Tre Breland each had two touchdown receptions for the Hornets.

On defense, A.J. Repollet had four sacks and nine tackles for the Hornets. James Sansone and Bill Porto each added a sack and six tackles. O’Brien Tech 14, CREC 0:

Bobby Hudak caught 46-yard and 12-yard touchdown passes from Jonte Roc to lead the Condors to their win.

Girls soccer

Foran 2, Branford 1: Cassandra Bennett scored on a penalty kick and Hayley Byers added another goal to lead the Lions (5-5-4) to their SCC win. Melanie Sachs scored for the Hornets (5-7-3). Hamden Hall 2, Cheshire Academy 1: Lexi Cornacchia scored twice to lead the Hornets to their prep school win. Miranda Ianonne had 12 saves for the Hornets. Brie Bavaro had 20 saves for the Cats.

Field hockey

Westbrook 2, Killingly 0: Lexi Koplas and Avery Bauman scored to lead the Knights to their Shoreline Conference win. Goalies Lauren Wright and Lauren Horne each had a save for the Knights.
