Milardo to be honored at banquet

The Nathan Hale-Ray softball program will host a banquet in celebration of Lou Milardo's induction into the National High School Coaches Hall of Fame this upcoming spring. Community members, alumni, family and friends are invited to attend.

The banquet will be held April 29 at 4 p.m. at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam.

All-Star Boys Basketball festival

The 43rd Annual CHSCA Boys Basketball All-Star Festival will be held March 21 at Maloney High School. Teams Constitution and Charter Oak made up of players from Divisions 3, 4, & 5 schools will face off at 5:45 p.m.

The second game is Team Mohegan vs. Team Pequot and features players from Divisions 1, 2, and 3 schools begin at 7:15.

Cromwell’s Reese Reyes, East Hampton’s Tom Close and Valley Regional’s Mitch Holdmeyerwill play for Team Constitution. Other area schools were not represented.

Admission to the doubleheader is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the charities of the CHSCA.
