AARP CHAPTER: AARP Chapter #3310 will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday, May 15, 1 p.m. at St. Pius Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown. Membership activities and trips will be discussed. ANXIETY DISORDERS: Tri-Town Youth Services will host a Documentary Screening & Talk Back, featuring Andy Buccaro, founder of Project Courage, on May 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at John Winthrop Middle School Auditorium. This event brings kids (ages 12+), parents, and community members together to talk about this universal issue, as well as the risks for teens who self-medicate with marijuana, alcohol or other drugs. FAMILY BIKE RIDE: Family Bike Ride will be held May 19, 9:30 a.m. starting in Harbor Park near the Mattabesset Canoe Club. The route will be along River Road, turning back either at Silver Street (3.5 miles round trip) or at the NRG Power Plant (9 miles). Given the ride length, suggested age minimum for independent riders is eight years old. This an informal group ride, being set up by members of the Bike Walk Middletown Facebook Group in conjunction with the Complete Streets Committee.

HOLY SPIRIT CELEBRATION: All are invited to a multi-parish, interfaith, informal prayer service in honor of Pentecost at Trinity Episcopal Church on May 19, 6-8 p.m. Bring a dish to share for the Potluck Dinner at 6 p.m., then move outside (weather permitting) to an informal service where we will be offering up our prayers to God by putting them in a bonfire.
