A summer of food at Staehly Farm

-

EAST HADDAM — Staehly Farm Winery is holding its summer series of food trucks from around the state at the winery at 278 Town Street in East Haddam.

Returning favorites include All Fired Up from Deep River, Wolfski’s from North Haven, and Tony’s Square Donuts. New this year will be Ted’s Steamed Cheeseburgers from Meriden, Fish Tale Express from New Haven, Brasato from Glastonbury, and T.H.E. Snickering Coyote from Hamden.

Each day has its own flavor, ranging from creative and unusual donuts to Texas-style barbecue, Polish dumplings, seafood, and more. All Fired Up arrives May 28 during Memorial Day weekend. Each day the truck will open around noon and will be on-site until sold out, usually around 5 to 6 p.m.

The series will also feature a larger food festival in July: Reds, Whites, and Barbecue will take place July 7 to 8 over Independence Day weekend and feature discounted wine tastings, live music and barbecue from All Fired Up. Yankee Cider Co., part of Staehly Farm Winery, hopes to debut a new blueberry cider that weekend.

The series concludes in October with Staehly Farm Winery’s Fall Flavor Festival, a harvest festival with wine tastings, multiple food trucks, live music, hay rides, a kids hay maze, pumpkin patch and more.

Full details with lineup and dates are available at www.staehlys.com/ftfw. The Tasting Room is open from noon to 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays through Halloween.
