Visit Chapel Haven and see the amazing work we do
On Thursday, June 14, 2018, Chapel Haven joined with our design and construction team from the S/L/A/M Collaborative to host a Business After Hours reception in our new Welcome Center.
We were delighted at the excellent turnout and interest by business and community leaders from across our community. Attendees enjoyed wine provided the Wine Thief, beer by New England Brewing Co., live jazz by our own ASAT graduate, Thomas Ice, and appetizers made by Chef Joanne Heller and our Chapel Haven café staff. They also toured our new Welcome Center and our REACH residential and classroom building, set to open in just a few short weeks. We are excited that our campus expansion deepens our ability to help adults with disabilities learn to live independent and self-determined lives.
Thanks to all who made this event so wonderful and to our sponsors. Along with SLAM, we would like to thank Rob Leonard, Marty Juliano, Pat Cardone and Jesse Springer from the New England Brewing Co. for their services; Karl Ronne and Thomas Gallagher of the Wine Thief; Allison Corbett of the Green Petal in Wallingford for donating beautiful floral table centerpieces; Stephanie Berberich and the talented Chapel Haven artisans of our UARTS program for donating a handmade man’s tie and woman’s scarf and for manning; Danielle Chairaluce, Karin Frodel, Timothy Weiler and Matt Wiant of Chapel Haven’s new Center for Employment and Services Opportunities and all our wonderful adults who served as ambassadors — Catherine Harris, Matt Baker, Jacob Shore, Zoe Abrams, Jamie Harberg, Julia Brown, Sierra Skora-Thomas. Thanks to Tanya Cutolo, Eugene Torone and David Neal of SLAM and Leland Torrence.
We invite our community to plan a visit to Chapel Haven soon — you will be delighted to see the amazing work we are doing! Michael Storz President, Chapel Haven
