9/11 REMEMBRANC­E: The public is invited to a 9/11 remembranc­e ceremony in Middletown on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Tree of Honor, Veterans Memorial Park, Walnut Grove Road. The ceremony is expected to last about 20 minutes. All are welcome.

FIRST RESPONDER CEREMONY: A special ceremony to honor first responders from 9/11 will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m., on the grounds of the East Hampton Congregati­onal Church, Main Street, East Hampton.
