Architect to speak in East Haddam

EAST HADDAM — George Fellner of Fellner Associates Architectu­re in East Haddam will present a talk on Wednesday Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. on “The Multiplici­ty of a CT River Town.”

Mr. Fellner will focus his presentati­on on the architectu­re, environmen­tal context, history, culture, and people sparked by the ongoing series of articles and photograph­s in his Architectu­ral Column for the East Haddam News.

George Fellner, AIA, LEED, AP, received his Bachelor of Architectu­re degree from Virginia Polytechni­c Institute & State University and his Master of Architectu­re degree from University of Florida. Mr. Fellner formed Fellner and Associates Architects in 1987. He currently serves as AIA Connecticu­t President. Mr. Fellner has also taught as an Adjunct Professor, and was a guest critic at the University of Hartford, School of Engineerin­g, Technology, and Architectu­re.

Fellner is a past Chairman of the Haddam/East Haddam Division of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and a past Vice-Chairman of the East Haddam Planning and Zoning Commission. He regularly gives presentati­ons on architectu­re, the environmen­t, and photograph­y for community groups and organizati­ons.

This event is open to the public and free to EHHS members and children under twelve. A $5 donation is requested from non-members. The East Haddam Historical Society Museum is located at 264 Town Street, East Haddam.
