Architect to speak in East Haddam
EAST HADDAM — George Fellner of Fellner Associates Architecture in East Haddam will present a talk on Wednesday Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. on “The Multiplicity of a CT River Town.”
Mr. Fellner will focus his presentation on the architecture, environmental context, history, culture, and people sparked by the ongoing series of articles and photographs in his Architectural Column for the East Haddam News.
George Fellner, AIA, LEED, AP, received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and his Master of Architecture degree from University of Florida. Mr. Fellner formed Fellner and Associates Architects in 1987. He currently serves as AIA Connecticut President. Mr. Fellner has also taught as an Adjunct Professor, and was a guest critic at the University of Hartford, School of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture.
Fellner is a past Chairman of the Haddam/East Haddam Division of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and a past Vice-Chairman of the East Haddam Planning and Zoning Commission. He regularly gives presentations on architecture, the environment, and photography for community groups and organizations.
This event is open to the public and free to EHHS members and children under twelve. A $5 donation is requested from non-members. The East Haddam Historical Society Museum is located at 264 Town Street, East Haddam.
