East Hampton electric car show grand success

-

On behalf of the East Hampton Clean Energy Task Force, I thank everyone who helped make the Electric Car Show ’18 a success. Without the support of local businesses, car dealerships, and residents of East Hampton and our neighbors in Portland, it would never have been as great a day as it was.

We thank The Dublin Restaurant, Paul’s and Sandy’s Too, Po’s Rice and Spice, and Pizzeria DaVinci for generous donations to our raffle.

We thank The National Drive Electric Week organization and Nissan Motors for helping sponsor our event.

A special thanks goes to Bob Jeffrey from The Dublin Beef and Seafood Company Restaurant for providing and serving delicious food. Another special thanks to Crowley Nissan for being a supportive and valued participant again this year, and for bringing another great car for us to see.

Thanks to Tim Smith for donating the sound equipment and John Moore for the wonderful music, state Rep. Melissa Ziobron for visiting us, and my fellow committee members Brian Cay, Cindy Singer, Kurt Reichenbach and Marty Podskoch. Thanks goes to the Portland Clean Energy Task Force for helping put together another great event, and Jeremy Hall for letting us use Sears Park.

I thank vehicle owners who took time out of their Saturday to display their electric cars and all who came out to the event.

Pat Petrone Jr., chairman, East Hampton
