Quickbooks workshop slated
MADISON — SCORE Southeastern CT will hold a free workshop, “How to Use Quickbooks to
Manage Your Business Finances,” from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 8 at Guilford Savings Bank, 589 Boston Post Road.
“This workshop will provide
guidance and practical, easy-touse tips to help ensure that your Chart of Accounts gets you to the right financial information, and
that it aligns with your use of QuickBooks,” SCORE said in a release. “Participants are welcome to bring a laptop with QuickBooks loaded so they can follow along with the presenter.”
The workshop will be presented by Elizabeth Santaus, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial accounting software and bookkeeping industries.

HAMDEN — Quinnipiac University’s People’s United Center for Women & Business will hold its inaugural event, “Women in Leadership:
Lessons from the Top,” from 8-11:30 a.m. Nov. 6, at Cascade, 480 Sherman Ave.
Guest speakers will be Quinnipiac University President Judy Olian and Sara Longobardi, senior executive vice president of retail banking at People’s United Bank, according to a release. The free event also will feature a continental breakfast, question-and-answer session and an opportunity to participate in an organized networking session facilitated by BeSpeak Presentation Solutions founder and President Debbie Fay,

⏩ Veterans’ Workshop covering basics of developing an effective resume, 1-3 p.m. Nov. 7, 1-3 p.m. Nov. 21.
⏩ Over 40 and Looking for Work, discussing challenges and employer expectations for older workers and strategies to successfully mitigate possible stereotyping, 1-4 p.m. Nov. 13 and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 19.

Tabletop Expo & Business After Hours
ORANGE — The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a Tabletop Expo & Business After Hours event from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 14 at Grassy Hill Country Club, 441 Clark Lane.
The business expo and networking event will include hors d’oeuvres and door prizes. Business interested in showcasing products can get a clothed table which includes electric (limited availability) and admission for two company representatives for a fee of $159. Additional levels of sponsorships also available.
