Hospital to host ‘Community Conversation’
MIDDLETOWN — Middlesex Hospital, along with several other partner organizations, will host a community conversation about the transgender and gender nonconforming communities. The event will be held from 5:30-8 p.m.W ednesday, Nov. 14 at Middlesex Community College, 100 Training Hill Road in Middletown. Light refreshments will be served.
This conversation is meant to help people better understand and support the transgender and gender non-conforming communities.
The event's keynote speaker will be Tony Ferraiolo, a certified life coach and a trainer and advocate for transgender youth. There will also be a panel discussion. Members of the panel will include Kathryn Tierney, medical director of the Middlesex Hospital Transgender Medicine Program; Angel Roubin, a psychologist at Middlesex Hospital; individuals who identify as transgender or gender non-conforming; and those who are relatives or allies of these individuals.
