DRS hold­ing coat drive

PORT­LAND — Join Dis­as­ter Restora­tion Ser­vices in keep­ing Con­necti­cut warm through But­ton Up Con­necti­cut.

As the cold sea­son is ap­proach­ing, many adults and chil­dren lack warm cloth­ing for the win­ter. DRS has teamed up with Sira­cusa Mov­ing & Stor­age & Sal’s Cloth­ing Restora­tion to col­lect coats for this cause, con­tin­u­ing through Dec. 5.

Coats for all ages can be brought to Dis­as­ter Restora­tion Ser­vices, 338 Air­line Ave., Port­land; Adam’s Home­town Mar­ket, Port­land; Port­land Pub­lic Li­brary; Port­land Po­lice Depart­ment; Stop & Shop, East Hamp­ton; East Hamp­ton Se­nior Cen­ter; Cit­i­zen’s Bank, East Hamp­ton; Port­land Town Hall.

For the or­ga­ni­za­tion that col­lects the most coats, prizes will be awarded: First prize- $300 do­na­tion for CT Burn Care Foun­da­tion; sec­ond prize, $200 do­na­tion made to the CT Food Bank; third prize, a $100 do­na­tion to Ron­ald McDon­ald House.
