Clinton holding holiday luncheons, dinner

CLINTON — The Clinton Historical Society will host the annual Holiday luncheons at Old Brick on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 5-6 at 12 p.m. Candlelight dinners will be served on Friday and Saturday evenings, Dec. 7-8 at 6 p.m. The meals will be served in the beautifully decorated historic 1750 Old Brick located at 103 East Main Street, Clinton. Come enjoy the festive holiday decorations, tree, wreaths and antique charm of a bygone era.

Mary Bovich and Faith Mangler will again be cooking up a delectable lunch. The luncheon menu includes carrot ginger soup with crostini, tarragon chicken salad on greens served with potato salad and tomato pesto bites. There will be punch or wine and for dessert double chocolate mousse cake concluded with coffee or tea.

Chef Eric Ambler will return again this year to work his culinary magic to create a memorable dining experience. The dinner menu starts with a tossed mixed greens salad with a tangy balsamic vinaigrette. The main menu showpiece is Chef Eric’s signature SousVide petite filets of beef with a porcini mushroom red wine reduction gravy accompanied by a roasted root vegetable medley, wild mushroom risotto, dinner rolls, punch or wine and for dessert delectable moulton lava cakes baked by pastry Chef Jackie Blomberg. Dessert concludes with coffee or tea.

The luncheons are $20 per person and the dinners are $32 per person.
