TV: Radio: THINGS TO WATCH 1. Contain the game wreckers:

ECU certainly doesn’t lack for star power as they are the only FBS team in the country with its conference’s leader in receiving yards and tackles for loss. Trevon Brown has 41 catches in the last four games and he is facing a UConn squad ranked last nationally in passing efficiency defense as well as allowing 100 receiving yards to nine players this season. Fellow senior Nate Harvey has 20 tackles for loss including at least one in every game this season as the Pirates are third among FBS teams with 9.3 tackles for loss per game.

2. Ready to join select company:

Senior David Pindell is already the only UConn quarterback to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. Now he needs 171 yards to join Dan Orlovsky as the only Huskies with 3,000 yards of total offense in a season. Orlovsky and Pindell got to spend some time together in August as Orlovsky was one of the announcers for the Huskies’ season opener.

“He is a good guy and gave me some pointers and tips going into the first game. Just listen to Coach Edsall, trust the process and believe in what Coach has put into this program and just go out there each week perform and just having fun,” Pindell said.

3. Security, security, security:

There are plenty of reasons why the two teams are winless in conference play this season but turnovers are pretty high on the checklist. ECU is last among 130 FBS teams with a turnover ratio of minus 13 while UConn comes in at 127th with 10 more turnovers lost than gained. East Carolina has been outscored 66-0 in points off turnovers. UConn is only slightly better by scoring 20 points and allowing 59 off turnovers.
