CLINTON — The Clinton Historical Society will host its annual holiday luncheons at Old Brick on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 5-6 at 12 p.m. Candlelight dinners will be served on Friday and Saturday evenings, Dec. 7-8 at 6 p.m.

The meals will be served in the beautifully decorated historic 1750 Old Brick, located at 103 East Main Street, Clinton. Guests will find themselves surrounded by festive holiday decorations, tree, wreaths and antique charm of a bygone era.

Mary Bovich and Faith Mangler are again preparing a luncheon menu that includes carrot ginger soup with crostini, tarragon chicken salad on greens served with potato salad and tomato pesto bites with punch or wine and double chocolate mousse cake with coffee or tea for dessert.

Chef Eric Ambler will return again this year to create a dinner menu that starts with a tossed mixed greens salad with a tangy, balsamic vinaigrette. The main menu showpiece is Chef Eric’s signature SousVide petite filets of beef with a porcini mushroom red wine reduction gravy, accompanied by a roasted root vegetable medley, wild mushroom risotto, dinner rolls, punch or wine. For dessert, he’ll present molten lava cakes, baked by pastry Chef Jackie Blomberg, with coffee or tea.

The luncheons are priced at $20 per person; dinners are $32 per person.

“The meals provide a rare opportunity to dine in a gracious 18th century historic setting,” members said.

The event sells out quickly and early reservations are encouraged. The luncheons and dinners begin promptly at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. and guests should arrie early. Dress is festive and the event is open to the public.

Reservations are required; specify the day you would like to attend and send a check, payable to the Clinton Historical Society to: Mary Bovich, 87 Waterside Lane, Clinton, CT
