FORT NATHAN HALE MEETING: Fort Nathan Hale will hold their annual meeting Sunday, Dec. 9, 2 p.m. at the historic Old Stone church, Main Street, East Haven (across from Town Hall). Speaker is Timothy Chaucer, historian, author and director of the Milford Marine Institute, portraying Joseph Plumb Martin, the most famous Private serving in the Continenta­l Army under George Washington. TREE LIGHTING: Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Allingtown Green Sunday between 6-8 p.m. to light the Allingtown Christmas tree and to visit children. Volunteer firefighte­rs will give rides on the fire engine. There will be caroling around the Christmas tree and free hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Food donations are welcome.
