Women’s Council of Realtors thanked for fundraisin­g efforts

The Women’s Council of Realtors, Greater Fairfield County was thanked for their fundraisin­g efforts on behalf of the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury at their Realtor2Re­altor event last month. The event was underwritt­en by Clancy Relocation & Logistics, so 100 percent of the proceeds were donated.

A check for $5,400 was presented by Marie Borner, Coldwell Banker Real Estate and President of Women’s Council of Realtors, Greater Fairfield County and Thomas Grimes, Account Representa­tive from Clancy Relocation & Logistics and accepted by the Women’s Center Board Chair Glori Norwitt.

Each year, the center serves more than 20,000 individual­s. The center’s key areas of focus include emergency shelter and support services, counseling and advocacy, crisis interventi­on, and community education, primary prevention and training.
