Women Redefining Retirement to meet

MILFORD — Women Redefining Retirement will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at Golden Hill Rehabilita­tion Pavilion, 2028 Bridgeport Ave.

Steve Johnson, Milford’s open space and natural resource agent, is scheduled to speak about the changes in recycling rules. Members may bring unwanted accessorie­s (scarves, belts, handbags, jewelry) for an “Accessory Swap,” and remaining items will be donated to St. Raphael’s Hospital Thrift Shop. EAST HAVEN — The East Haven Chamber of Commerce will is offering a seminar, “How to Network” at 5 p.m., followed by a Business After Hours networking event at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 16 at the Village at Mariners Point, 111 S. Shore Drive.

Network of Executive Women offering scholarshi­ps

The Network of Executive Women is accepting applicatio­ns for undergradu­ate scholarshi­ps from Feb. 1-28, according to a release.

The scholarshi­ps are being offered to women residing or attending school in New Haven or Fairfield counties who demonstrat­e financial need, the release said, and applicants must be returning, continuing or beginning schooling or other types of training to further education goals and/or enhance job skills. Students going directly from high school to college are not eligible, according to the release.
