Sale to offer antiques at discounted prices

- BY PRESS STAFF

CROMWELL — Covenant Village of Cromwell will be holding its annual furniture sale next month, offering dozens of unique antique, vintage and quality furniture pieces and accessories at discounted prices.

This year’s sale of items, such as vintage chairs, dressers and end tables, departs from an auction-type setting as was held in the past, according to a press release. Instead, organizers decided to be more efficient by holding a “cash-and-carry” event.

Sale proceeds are used to help Covenant Village’s Benevolent Care Fund, which helps assist qualified residents who have outlived their resources through no fault of their own and covers the cost of housing and some health services, the news release said.

The furniture sale, held in the events center at Covenant Village, 52 Missionary Road, will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 1 and 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 2. For information, call 860-7543025.
