Uber report shows shortfall at $1.2B

Uber reported slowing gains for the number of people who use its ridehailing and delivery services at least monthly, adding four million between July and September, two million fewer than it added the previous three months. Entering October, Uber reported about 103 million people globally who use its app regularly, with the company losing $1.2 billion in the third quarter as revenue grew 30 percent from a year earlier to $3.8 billion. The United States and Canada remains Uber’s top region with a 39 percent increase in revenue.
