Foundations, chamber holding conference, awards event
BRANFORD — The Shoreline Chamber of Commerce and the Community Foundations of Branford and Guilford will present the second annual Nonprofit Conference and Awards Celebration on Nov. 13 atWoodWinds in Branford. The event features timely workshops and roundtable discussions targeted specifically for members of the nonprofit community.
The keynote speaker is Amy E. Fenollosa, Director of Learning & Senior Facilitator at The Latimer Group. The Nonprofit Conference's awards ceremony recognizes individuals who exhibit exemplary commitment to the organizations they serve. This year’s awards winners are:
Volunteer of the Year: Peter Hawes, Guilford Performing Arts Festival; Staff Member of the Year: Phillip Guliano, Orchard House Adult Day Center; Executive Director of the Year: Janet Alfano, The Diaper Bank; and Board Member of the Year: Linda Vigorito, SARAH, Inc. The awards will be presented at a luncheon during the halfday conference.
The conference is geared toward nonprofit boards, volunteers, staff and leadership. Tickets are $75 for the day, includes breakfast, lunch and multiple workshops.
