Spectrum Gallery reopening June 4
CENTERBROOK — Spectrum Gallery and Artisans Store is reopening to the visiting public from noon-6 p.m. June 4.
Gallery guests will be able to select from a wide range of original fine art and one-of-a-kind crafts from the exhibit, “Shadow Dance,” which has been extended until July 5. Then two weeks later on July 17, Spectrum presents its new summer gallery show “Resurgence and Regrowth” — a celebration through the arts of renewal for hopeful, happier and healthier times. That show runs through Sept. 6. Spectrum also announces new summer gallery hours after its reopening, noon-6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and noon-5 p.m. Sunday. In keeping with current safety protocols, the gallery asks all visitors to wear masks, and gloves if available. Those without gloves are asked to use hand sanitizer immediately after entering the gallery and store.
As the space is large, four people at a time will be allowed entry to maintain social distancing. Sanitizing will be done at checkout areas and on surfaces after each customer visit.
Art classes and workshops are still happening through Spectrum but for now classes will be held online via Zoom.
New online classes are added at least twice a month and include offerings such as Art of the Collage, Calligraphy, Writing about Poems with more to come. Visit spectrumartgallery.org for updates and confirmations added on an ongoing basis.
Before and after the Gallery reopens, visit Spectrum Anytime at spectrumartgallery.org/shop to browse and shop fine art and artisanal crafts with shipping available throughout the US and internationally. Perfect for upcoming events such as gift giving for Father’s Day, and high school and college graduations. Gift cards also available in store and online.
