Margaret loved horse riding (Horse Rangers), dancing, swimming, and singing and was known for her sense of humor. She was definitely a family person. America: Her mother died in 1963. The whole family; Dad, Christine and Family, and Margaret and John, undertook the enormous task of moving to the U.S. in July 1964 on board the Corinthia to New York where brother Andrew and his wife Deirdre, who had previously emigrated, drove them to Bellows Falls, Vermont. Margaret and John moved to Rochester, NY in 1965. They moved back to Vermont in 1969, living in Springfield. Margaret and John separated a few years later. Family: Margaret and John had two children, Stephen and Matthew. Stephen (Teeb) had a brain abnormality at birth that required extensive surgery and other therapy. Margaret was a wonderful nurse and homecare person who loved and continuously cared for him until her death. Margaret and Bruce moved to Connecticut in 1979, where they were married. They lived in Hartford, Waterford, Colchester, and finally Middletown, where they’ve lived since 1999. During the first several years in CT she worked for Globe Security, managing such sites as Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth, MA. When Globe was bought out, she took early retirement and worked in small, local stores. Margaret, a lovely red-head, filled every space she occupied with unconventional humor and interesting conversation. She died on 2/20/2021 and leaves to mourn: her husband Bruce, her sons Stephen and Matthew, her brother and sister-in-law Andrew and Deirdre Poole, and her many friends. She will be sorely missed by her nieces and nephews and their families.
