PIOTROWSKI, PATRICIA SERGI

Patricia Sergi Piotrowski passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2021 at her home in Cromwell. Patricia was born on St. Patrick’s Day March 17, 1948 the daughter of Samuel and Sophie Sergi. Patricia was a kind and gentle soul. She had a loving and generous heart, was always giving to others, especially to the kids of Cromwell High School where she worked for many years. The years she spent there were her happiest and most fulfilling. There she touched so many of the young lives. She called the students her “kids”. She loved them and they loved her. Patricia always made herself available to help her kids with their problems. She was their teacher, social worker and counselor but most of all their friend. Many of her kids continued to visit Patricia for years following graduation. Patricia was grounded in Cromwell where she lived her entire life. She was proud of her town and was well known to all. One of her favorite places was Cromwell Landing where she saw old friends, made new friends and reconnected with her kids.

Patricia is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Sophie Sergi, brothers Frank and Patrick Sergi and sister Diane Barber. She leaves behind brothers Nicholas and Samuel Sergi Jr., sisters Kathleen Browning and Judy Sergi, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is scheduled for early summer and will be announced on Patricia’s Face Book page.
