Town giving free face masks to small businesses
EAST HAMPTON — The East Hampton Economic Development Commission announced it will be offering to East Hampton small businesses free face masks for a limited time period to support the safety and health of employees, management and customers and clients.
The adult and children’s face masks are being donated by the Rossi Family Foundation, according to a press release. Those interested must complete a short, online form, available at bit.ly/3uXQp0y, to requests masks until March 22.
The masks are no cost to businesses, and can be used for immediate use or future needs, however the owner sees best to support protecting the health of people during the work day, the release said.
Businesses can choose from adult masks in boxes of 50 or 100, and children’s masks in quantities of 50, 100, 150 or 200. Requests will be accepted on a firstcome, first-serve basis. Businesses will be notified when a request is accepted following the registration deadline or after available masks are exhausted. Also, businesses will receive further information on delivery, according to the department.
The initiative is part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to support small businesses in East Hampton during challenging times amid the coronavirus pandemic, the news release said. The commission hopes to help businesses with their PPE needs, and save a few dollars on monthly expenses.
