Lions Club holding poker run April 25

Lions of Eastern CT, District 23C are holding a in the “Lions And Hogs Poker Run” 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 25, to raise funds for the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

The Poker Run will have three “loops” to choose from to follow: Loop 1 will start in Old Saybrook, include stops in Haddam, Portland, East Haddam and end at Carter Hill Farm, 86 E. Hampton Road (Route 66) in Marlborough; Loop 2 will start in Niantic, include stops in Waterford, Montville, Colchester and end at Carter Hill; and Loop 3 will start in Danielson and include stops in Canterbury, Coventry, Columbia and end at Carter Hill.

Registration is $25 for 5 cards (one card drawn at each stop) with an opportunity to purchase an additional card at Carter Hill for $10 to replace a card. Choice of prizes: 6 lobsters, $100 Kohl’s gift card, CT River dinner cruise for four on the Blue Heron or the rental of a dragon barbecue grill where the smoke comes out of his mouth. Players will receive a free hot dog and soft drink at Carter Hill Farm where a reasonable lunch will also be available to purchase with music by Rock Landing.
