Maldonato paces Hamden Hall in win

Cameron Maldonato had three hits, including a double, drove in four runs and scored two to lead the Hamden Hall baseball team to a 10-5 win over Rye in Hamden on Saturday.

Maldonato also pitched a complete game and struck out six.

Jayden Novak added two hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Hornets.

Morgan 4, Haddam-Killingwor­th 3 (9 inn.): Ryan Inglis and Luke Furches had two hits each to lead the Huskies to a Shoreline Conference win.

Ethan Reemsnyder scored the game-winning run in the ninth inning when he reached base and then with two outs scored on an errant throw. Luke Dimauro had a double and RBI for the Cougars.

Notre Dame-West Haven 9, Branford 5: Tnner Belcher went 4-for-4 and drove in two runs and Trevor Knotwell pitched a complete game to lead the Green Knights to an SCC win.

Nick Bracale, Kevin Milewski, and Ryan Cotjanle each had two RBI's for the Green Knights (2-2).

Oxford 14, WCA 0: Adem Kica and Connor Clifford each had two hits and scored three runs to lead Oxford. Tyler LaRocque and Justin Black added two RBI’s each for Oxford.

SOFTBALL

Cheshire 4, Amity 0: Bri Pearson struck out nine and belted a home run to lead the Rams to an SCC win in Cheshire.

Foran 19, Hamden 3: Kendall LaMort went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored to lead Foran to an SCC win. Mary Grace Weissauer went 4-for-4, drove in four runs and scored three runs for the Lions.

Haddam-Killingwor­th 15, Morgan 5: Chey LaTouche and Ivy McNiel hit back-to-back home runs to help power the Cougars to a Shoreline Conference win.

Pitcher Kaleigh Bodak picked up her first win of the season. Bella Richwine was 3-for-3 with a single, double, triple, two walks, three runs scored and had two RBIs for the Cougars (3-0). Colleen Edwards had two hits for the Huskies (2-2).

BOYS LACROSSE

Cheshire 15, Sheehan 2: Andrew Benjamin had four goals and two assists to lead the Rams to an SCC win. Max Manware and Evan Stern each added three goals and three assists for the Rams

GIRLS LACROSSE

Amity 18, Law 4: Dylan Lyons had six goals and two assists and Lauren Ronai added four goals and one assist to lead the Spartans to their SCC win. Meghan Smith chipped in with two goals and an assist for the Spartans.

Cheshire 16, North Branford 4: Taylor Warburton and Lauren Samela each had four goals and an assist to lead the Rams to their SCC win. Gabby Gibilisco had two goals for the Thunderbir­ds.
