Changing job market, networking focus of HRJN presentations
MILFORD — The Housatonic River Job Network’s upcoming meeting will focus on the future of the job market and business networking, according to a release.
Both meetings will be held at 7 p.m. at the Margaret Egan Community Center, 35 Matthew St.
— April 22: The Job Market After COVID-19. Henning Seip, founder of Candogram Inc., a technology startup specializing in job market education, will offer a presentation looking at the changing job market amid and following a pandemic, including changes such as remote work and organizational streamlining. While targeted to high school and college students, all are welcome.
— April 29: Rob Thomas, president of Rob Thomas USA, will speak on “Is Your Networking ... Really Working?” In this presentation, Thomas will break down “the simple and strategic rules for going beyond the business card exchange – that will ensure you find and foster profitable business connections,” according to a release.

Free webinar to look at using Facebook for business
SCORE will hold a free webinar April 22, “Advertising on and Measuring the Impact of Facebook,” according to a release.
Featured speaker will be Barbara Paquin from Miran
da Creative, who will discuss “best practices to maximize the use of Facebook for your business. This presentation is targeted to business owners who have been using Facebook to help their small businesses. Topics will include algorithm, page optimization, posts, and advertising (navigating Business Manager and Ads Manager, types of ads, audiences and measurements/tracking),” the release said.
The webinar will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. April 22 via Zoom. Registration is required and can be completed at https://bit.ly/3e1mmxc — information on how to join the webinar will be sent after registering, the release said.
