Former U.S. Open champion Justin Rose and 2012 Travelers Championship winner Marc Leishman have committed to play in June’s Travelers Championship, the tournament announced on Wednesday morning.

Rose won the Open in 2013 at Merion and spent 13 weeks as the world’s No. 1 ranked player. A 10-time champion on the PGA Tour, Rose was the gold medalist when golf returned to the Summer Olympics in 2016.

Rose is currently ranked 40th. He will be making his 10th appearance at TPC River Highlands. He missed the cut last year, his first appearance at the event since tying for 13th in 2013, the week after his U.S. Open championship.

Leishman won his first PGA Tour event at that 2012 Travelers, firing an 8-under-par 62 to come from six strokes behind in the final round. He has won four times on the tour since and is currently ranked 37th after tying for fifth at the Masters.

Rose and Leishman join world No. 1 and defending champion Dustin Johnson, along with reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau (ranked sixth), Patrick Reed (7th), Brooks Koepka (11th) and three-time Travelers winner Bubba Watson (60th). The event will be held June 2427.

Travelers tournament director Nathan Grube said in the release that an announcement about ticket sales will be coming “in the weeks ahead, as we continue to work with the PGA Tour and local health officials about the on-site experience.”

Gov. Ned Lamont announced on Monday that he will lift most outdoor-related COVID-19 restrictions by May 1. Then the remaining restrictions on indoor businesses will be lifted on May 19.
