Agency honored by supporting grant
Connecticut’s nonprofit organization Children in Placement is grateful for all of the donations and support we receive from the communities around us. Our ability to continue our mission of advocating for effective judicial review, supportive services and safe, permanent homes on behalf of Connecticut’s abused and neglected children is only achievable due to the generosity of our donors. It is with gratitude that we accept a $50,000 responsive grant from The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Our grant was only one of 73 grants awarded from CFGNH’s three-year commitment to address COVID impacts and advance racial equity.
The mission of The Community for Greater New Haven is “to inspire, support, inform, listen to and collaborate with the people and organizations of Greater New Haven to build an ever more connected, inclusive, equitable and philanthropic community” (cfgnh.org). Children in Placement is honored to be supported by such an admirable organization that shares the same values and vision of building successful lives within our community.
It is because of The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven’s generosity that we are able to serve, support and advocate for even more children across the state of Connecticut. Our seven offices across the entire state assure that any child in need has a close outlet. Our 150 trained Guardian Ad Litem volunteers along with our team of highly motivated Regional Managers fervently investigate child welfare cases, with careful analyzing of every aspect — physical, mental, emotional, medical, and educational well-being. We are honored to be such a vital tool in the lives of Connecticut’s vulnerable children and are thankful to have the support of The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Thank you, CFGNH, for supporting not only Children in Placement, but our community as a whole.
