THEATER AT GILLETTE CASTLE: The East Haddam Stage Company has launched a summer run of live outdoor theatre at Gillette Castle State Park. Shows will run for six weekends, Saturdays and Sundays only through Aug. 8 on the outdoor stage near the castle. The 30-minute shows run at 1 and 3 p.m. The castle is at 67 River Road, East Haddam. Unless it is raining on the stage at show time, the show will go on. The area is wheelchair accessible. While there is bench and bleacher seating, it is suggested that visitors bring a lawn chair or blanket for their own comfort.

BUTTONWOOD CONCERT: The Buttonwood Tree, 605 Main St., Middletown, presents Eliot Lewis of Hall & Oates, and MTV's Live from Daryl's House, with his classic rock trio. Tickets $18 in advance, or $20 day of the show. To reserve go to buttonwood.org.

HYMN SING, PICNIC: Saint Ann’s Church, Old Lyme, presents a community hymn sing, led by Hector Migliacci, 5 p.m. July 24.
