Goodspeed offering arts program for youth, teens
EAST HADDAM — The fall semester of Goodspeed Musicals’ Kids Company, a performing arts education and training program for students 7 and older, begins Sept. 13.
Aspiring young actors are invited to register for the virtual ensembles or private studio taught over Zoom, according to a press release.
During ensembles, youth participate in weekly classes focused on acting, vocal performance and dance. In the private studio, students who prefer a private learning environment will train with Goodspeed teaching artists one on one and at their own pace, the venue said.
Goodspeed is offering an online version of its Goodspeed Classroom for K-12 schools this fall for educators seeking opportunities to incorporate the arts into their classrooms.
The 14-week semester will culminate in an informal showcase for family, friends and the community. Ensembles tuition for ages 7-18 is $350. The private studio fee is $500 (for 30 minutes a week) or $725 (45 minutes a week).
The fall semester will run through Dec. 17. For information, visit goodspeed.org.
