Polish Falcons sponsor health fair

MIDDLETOWN — The Health and Wellness Fair, sponsored by the Polish Falcons of America Nest 519 and the Nathaniel B. Field Memorial Foundation, will take place Sept. 28, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the PFA Grove building at 144 Prout Hill Road. This is a free event open to all.

A variety of local businesses and organizations will share their services and resources and live demonstrations will be held. They include Anthem BCBS Medicare, Body Focus Therapeutic Massage and Ashiatsu, Caregiver Homes, Child and Family Agency, Community Health Center. CrossFit Ironworks Higganum, Gilead Community Services, Inc., Head Start Services, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, Middlesex Health Center for Behavioral Health, Middletown South Fire District, Middletown Police, Middletown YMCA, National Alliance on Mental Illness-Shoreline Affiliate, Nutmeg Pharmacy Higganum, Russell Library, Starr Mill Yoga, The Red Barn Holistic Wellness and Art Center.

The mission of the Nathaniel B. Field Memorial Foundation is to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, to reduce the stigma of mental illness, and to provide hope and support.
