Sophie A. Gassira

In Guilford August 30, 2021 Sophie A. Gassira 89, formerly of Hamden. Wife of the late Andrew Gassira. Loving mother of Donna Lombardozzi (Michael), and Diana Kanoff (Brian), sister of Joanne Tonelli (Joseph). Also survived by her cherished grandchildren Jessica Kanoff, Jaclyn Waszkiewicz ( Jan), Michelle Lombardozzi, Dominick Lombardozzi (Arielle) and great grandchildren Nicholas Waszkiewicz, Nico and Sophia Lombardozzi. Predeceased by a brother Carmine “Sonny” Manzo. Mrs. Gassira was born in New Haven August 3, 1932 daughter of the late Dominick and Josephine Parise Manzo. Prior to her retirement she worked for Yale University in the Workers Comp. office.
