Schedule set for flu, pneumonia, shingles, COVID vaccine clinics

CROMWELL — The Town Hall will be hosting a number of seasonal flu clinics in the gymnasium at 41 West St. Pneumonia, shingles and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 shots will be offered.

Vaccinatio­ns will be available Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 6 from 1 to 6 p.m., and Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

People must be at least 12 years and in good health to receive a flu or vaccine shot, and senior doses will be available, according to a press release.

Flu vaccines are free with most insurance plans (bring an insurance card). There is a limited supply of flu vaccine available for those without insurance. Insurance cards are required to receive pneumonia or shingles vaccines (bring an insurance card).

Appointmen­ts are not needed, and shots will be administer­ed on a walk-in only basis. Proof of residency is not required. People are asked to wear a mask, social distance and follow all COVID safety protocols.

Individual­s should bring a pre-filled consent form and COVID questionna­ire, which are found at cromwellct.com.
