Karen A. Askew

Karen A. Askew, of Meriden, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the age of 63 from health complications. She was born to Patrick and Patricia (Eldridge) Doucette on May 3, 1958 in Middletown, CT. She is survived by her daughters, Shawndell Askew and Shannon Doucette; son, Kyle Doucette; brothers, Leonard (Barbara) Doucette, Robert Doucette,Gary (Jeanie) Doucette, and Kenneth Doucette; seven grandchildren, Henry, Shazon, CoriAnna, Shauntazia, Shaliyah, Lee-Anna, and Jay’Sean; great-grandson, Henry; nieces Samantha and Madison; as well as numerous other family members.

Karen was an amazing mother, supportive sister, and displayed immense love and care for everyone that was blessed to know her. She treasured her family and loved ones and embraced every moment with them. She will live on in the hearts of everyone she’s ever touched. Respects can be paid on Saturday (Sept. 11th) from 4 to 6 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of her family.
