Charles Peter Pigaty, 78, of Orange passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Derby to Charles Antonio and Elsie Cerrano Pigaty. His family and friends will miss his gentle and caring way and willingnes­s to always lend a hand. He worked at B.F. Goodrich and later Bridgeport Fittings as their purchasing manager until his retirement. He loved carpentry projects and traveling. Always ready with his bags packed, he traveled throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. During his later years, he enjoyed taking his family to Disney and the Caribbean.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Addie (Repoley) and son, Charles Ernest of Orange, daughter, Jennifer (Thomas) Canevari and grandchild­ren, Brendan and Isabella of Milford, as well as longtime friends and cousins. He was preceded by his father Charles Antonio,

mother Elsie, sister Shirley, and brother Allen.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at Precious Blood Parish, 70 Gulf St Milford, on Monday September 13 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Alzheimer’s or one’s own choice. His family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the extended care he received by the staff at Orange Healthcare, and the special friends who gave support during these difficult times.
