Arroyo Grande, California - Nancy Carnevale, 85 of Arroyo Grande passed away December 28, 2020 following a lengthy struggle with Alzheimers and eventually succumbed to Covid-19. Born and raised in New Haven, CT to James and Antoinette Mongillo in 1935. She then married in 1966 and moved to Woodmont. While living in Woodmont she served as a Lector, CCD and Confirmati­on Instructor for 25 years at Saint Agnes Church. In 1999 she vowed not to spend her later years battling New England winters and moved to Arroyo Grande. While living in Arroyo Grande she volunteere­d as an usher at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts. She also was very active in her church, St. Patrick’s, where she helped out in youth ministries and was the founder of the People’s Kitchen where anyone who wants a meal can come and eat.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Antoinette and brother Jack Mongillo.

She is survived by her loving daughter Carin Carnevale of West Haven, Ct. and brother Robert Mongillo (Sue) of Arroyo Grande, Ca.

Calling will take place at Saint Agnes Church on Saturday September 25th from 10:30am - 12:00pm with a Memorial Mass immediatel­y following.
